Why even turn on Revue?

Untitled

Because it adds another place to get new subs.

Can’t we use zapier to auto add subs in Revue to Substack?

No. Revue API changed and Substack never had a public API yet.

Is manual export and upload the best way?

Even Justin Welsh [does it this way](https://www.justinwelsh.me/blog/04302022#:~:text=Each Saturday morning I export my Revue subscribers into Kajabi before my newsletter goes out.). He did it as part of ritual before he published his weekly newsletter. I also recommend tying it to a weekly ritual like that.

Why use Substack to publish?

  1. They have a recommender engine. So authors of a newsletter can recommend their readers to subscribe to another newsletter. Your newsletter may be recommended by others.

It’s so nice to see other people recommend you to their subscribers too :)

  2. Casual readers from the internet will be prompted to subscribe before they read your publicly available issue. This helps to remind them to subscribe.

  3. Their whole business model is about helping newsletters succeed. So their incentives are aligned with your success.

So what are the steps?

You can watch the two Loom videos i did below or you can go through the written steps. They are the same.
